This is on top of the disruption of the past year during which sections of the archive have closed in rotation in preparation for this move, a mile or two across Belfast. In other words to move this archive will take the PRONI staff 2 years and 9 months, including a 9 month total closure. This of course is a ludicrous situation that only civil servants could envisage. It could never happen in the private sector. We need your support to have this decision reversed. It will affect so many people in so many different ways, including genealogists, overseas visitors, students, writers, solicitors, the list is endless.
